Miami Beach welcomes Time Out Market Miami

Miami Beach has added its third food all with its all new Time Out Market, now open! Spanning nearly 18,000 square feet of real estate, the market is located underneath a parking garage at 1601 Drexel Avenue, right near Lincoln Road, where the garage was completed in 2012, designed by architect Enrique Norten and owned by Ambassador Paul Cejas.

  Time Out Market will house 18 of the city’s best chefs, award-winning mixologist, artwork by local rising talent, and a demonstration kitchen featuring a rotation line up of chefs. At the center of it all is the Time Out Market Bar, with two other side bars featuring drinks curated by Broken Shaker, Sweet Liberty and Generator Hostel Miami. Also available to choose from are 25 wine selections by glass or bottle, six kinds of Champagne and sparkling wine, beer from local breweries and frozen cocktails to keep you cool.

            Created by media giant Time Out Group, their first Time Out Market opened in 2014 in a historic market hall in Lisbon and according to their website, it was a huge success in attracting “3.9 million visitors in 2018” making it Portugal’s most popular attraction. Miami is to become their first North American debut. Soon after, New York, Boston, Chicago and Montreal will also open in 2019, then Dubai in 2020, London-Waterloo in 2021 and Prague in 2022. All markets will follow the same concept- combing the best of every city into one communal food and cultural experience.

  • Antonio Bachour - The master pastry maker won the 2018 Best Pastry Chef Award at Milan's Best Chef Awards. His treats are a feast for both your taste buds and your eyes.

  • K'West -  Norman Van Aken is opening his newest concept named K’West where you will find the flavors and spices of the bohemian island where he spent several years of his career.

  • .Leña - Owner of Ariete's and Chug’s in Coconut Grove, Chef Michael Beltran is spotlighting his wood-fired dishes like the Short Ribs.

  • Azucar - Suzy Battle founded Azucar Ice Cream Co. in 2011 and has been creating her own flavors with a Cuban inspired twist, ever since.

  • Coyo Taco - Founded by Alan Drummond and Sven Vogtland and led by Chef Scott Linquist, these three are bringing their well-known Wynwood spot into Miami Beach.

  • Jeremy Ford - Stubborn Seed's chef and Top Chef winner Jeremy Ford will be serving fast-casual Korean comfort food.

  • K'West. Beach Pie - Chef Norman Van Aken, known as the “Culinary Titan of Florida,” and the founding father of New World Cuisine, will offer hand-crafted, artisan-style pizza. One of his two spots in the market.

  • Kush - Wynwood's favorite burger and beer joint started by restaurateur Matt Kuscher, Cici Barmon, and David Rodriguez, will be part of the Time Out Market.

  • The Local Cuban - Alberto Cabrera's dishes are inspired by his childhood home in Cuba serving Cuban sandwiches to arroz imperial, there is a wide range of menu of innovative Latin food.

  • 33 Kitchen - Chef Sebastian Fernandez along with wife and partner, Leslie Ames Brachowicz are bringing what was Coconut Groves only Peruvian restaurant, to the Time Out Market

  • Leña - Owner of Ariete's and Chug’s in Coconut Grove, Chef Michael Beltran is spotlighting his wood-fired dishes like the Short Ribs

  • Salt & Brine - Ella's Oyster Bar's Christian and Domenica Plotczyk introduce their new seafood concept that incorporates selections from their Little Havana location.

  • Stephen’s Deli – Restaurateur, Matt Kuscher delivers Miami's oldest New York-style deli that opened in 1954, located within the Leah Arts District. The Jewish-style deli will of course start with corned beef and pastrami.

  • Love Life Café - Veronica Menin and Diego Tosoni, partners in both love and work, bring their plant-based food with fresh ingredients to the hall. If you are looking to eat healthy, then this is a must try.

  • Miami Smokers - Andres Barrientos and James Bowers rule the cities meat scene and are debuting the smokehouse's first charcuterie bar.

  • Pho Mo –  Home to Miami’s best pho, Phuc Yea's Cesar Zapata and Aniece Meinhold are providing a Viet-Cajun fusion mashup to the market.

  • Giorgio Rapicavoli - This chef has selected his favorite dishes from his popular Coral Gables Eating House restaurant. He also opened Glass & Vine in Coconut Grove.

  • Salt & Brine - Ella's Oyster Bar's Christian and Domenica Plotczyk introduce their new seafood concept that incorporates selections from their Little Havana location.

  • Wabi Sabi by Shuji – Morimoto-trained Chef Shuji Hiyakawa first opened the Japanese bowl spot in the upper east side of Miami and though it has recently been closed, a second Wabi Sabi will now open here in the Market.
